I was out from my office for two weeks due to various meetings. Apparently birds found where berries are… (plus we have a new planting of cherries nearby.) All of my Merlot berries are GONE and many of Chardonnay berries are eaten. Good thing is that I am not using berries for my research.
Also, Winchester area received thunderstorms last night. Once again these warm long wetness hours are favored by Botrytis.
Would the birds have eaten the grapes if you were there?

But if I were there (and willing to save fruits), we could have put a net up to prevent major damages.
