Grape Disease Risks 4/12 – 17/2024

Here’s a snapshot from the last week, showing the number of days with the risk of each disease: Ph = Phomopsis, PW = Powdery mildew, BR = Black rot, and DM = Downy mildew. N/A means there is no data or some issues with the NEWA. There are fewer “N/A,” but we are still missing some model outputs… I have reported these issues to the appropriate parties, so, hopefully, it will be back soon.

At Winchester, our Chardonnay vines were 1-3 inches shoot length, which is the prime time for Phomopsis protection. Please see this post for tips on early-season grape disease management.
